1. Iconik Coffee Roasters
Iconik Coffee Roasters boasts three locations in Santa Fe: one on Lena Street near the bustling Second Street district, one on Guadalupe Street in between the Railyard and Downtown, and one on Galisteo Street inside Collected Works Bookstore. All three locations have stellar coffee, tea, and more. Their unique coffees are roasted on-site, and they get their tea from nearby ArtfulTea. The Lena Street and Guadalupe Street locations also offer a full menu, while the Galisteo Street location serves bagels, breakfast burritos, and other light fare. We especially enjoy curling up at the Galisteo Street location with a new book by a crackling fire in their cozy seating area!
2. The Teahouse
Located near the end of Canyon Road, the Teahouse is a warm and inviting café and restaurant with Italian-inspired cuisine and an extensive selection of tea, lattes, and more. They have a fantastic outdoor patio in the warmer months, and cozy indoor seating year-round. After you’re finished browsing art galleries and exploring Santa Fe, The Teahouse is the perfect place to stop to rest your feet and grab a bite to eat. We especially recommend checking out their daily specials, which include a rotating selection of scones that come with clotted cream and lemon curd, as well as a different slow-cooked stew each day. And if you’re in the mood for tea, their Santa Fe Fog latte is sure to hit the spot.
3. Downtown Subscription
Downtown Subscription is a little hidden gem of a coffee shop, located off of historic Acequia Madre Street, which parallels Canyon Road. They hold the claim of Santa Fe’s oldest coffee shop and newsstand, and offer a variety of coffee, teas, pastries, and light fare. Downtown Subscription is a great place to stop for coffee and an early breakfast before setting out on the day’s adventures. They also have a great patio, which feels like a little oasis of green and calm despite being only minutes from the center of town.
4. The Good Stuff
The Good Stuff is a delightfully eclectic mix of a café, a bookstore, a record store, and an apparel shop tucked into a cozy location just a few blocks west of the Plaza. Everything in The Good Stuff is thoughtfully curated, from the book and record selections to the coffee and tea, and is a lovely place to discover beloved classics and hidden gems alike. Whether you’re just grabbing a coffee or tea to go or want to stay and linger, The Good Stuff lives up to its name!
5. Henry and the Fish
Located just a few blocks from the Santa Fe Plaza on bustling West San Francisco Street, Henry and the Fish is a charming café offering a variety of sandwiches, bowls, tea and coffee, and more. Owners Kelly and Joe bring an infectious enthusiasm to everything that they do, which definitely shines through in the cheerful ambiance of this little café. Grab a coffee to go if you’re heading to explore sights around the plaza, or linger for lunch and people watching if you have a little time. If you’re in the mood for something sweet and bright, be sure to check out their iced matcha latte with lavender.
6. Opuntia
With a diverse selection of teas, healthful food options, and a hip atmosphere, Opuntia is a great place to grab a bite to eat with a friend, or just sip on tea and enjoy the atmosphere. Opuntia also features a stunning array of plants, cacti, succulents, and more. Right now, Opuntia operates as a popup restaurant and café within El Rey Court, off of Cerrillos Road a few miles from the center of town. Soon, they’ll be opening a permanent location in the Railyard in Fall 2019, with a bigger, brighter space with even more room for plants, tea, and light!
7. Counter Culture
Counter Culture is a charming and eclectic café with two different patio areas serving tea, coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and more. Located on Baca Street just off of Cerillos, Counter Culture is on an artsy block that also features galleries and art supply stores in abundance. Beloved by locals and tourists alike, this is a great spot to enjoy a bite to eat and soak up the sun at a patio picnic table. For a simple but classic breakfast, try a latte and their fried egg sandwich with swiss and bacon. Their lunch and dinner options are also excellent, with a variety of sandwiches and a diverse selection of Asian, Mexican, and American inspired cuisine.

While ArtfulTea doesn’t serve tea in their downtown shop, they have a rotating selection of daily samples, and sell a wide variety of luxury loose leaf tea.
